# How to delete my account

## If you created a free test account and no longer need it, you can delete it directly from the Customer Portal.

Follow these steps:

1. Go to the [**Customer Portal**](https://portal.memtime.com/login).
2. Make sure you are on the **Profile** tab.
3. Click the **Delete account** button, and confirm the choice.

**Important notes:**

- This option is only available in the **[Customer Portal](http://portal.memtime.com)** for **free test accounts**.
- Once a test account is deleted, the same email address cannot be used to create a new test account. If you'd like to create a new test account with the same email address, please contact [**support@memtime.com**](https://www.memtime.com/contact-support).
- To delete your Memtime active subscription account, please send a deletion request to **support@memtime.com**.
- When your account is deleted, all stored data is permanently removed, except for invoices, billing records, and any data we are legally required to retain (e.g. for tax or accounting purposes); details can be found at [https://www.memtime.com/security](https://www.memtime.com/security)
