How to export projects from Memtime Projects Local to Memtime Projects Cloud?

This article explains how to move your existing clients, projects, and tasks from Memtime Projects Local (Offline) to Memtime Projects Cloud.

If you have been using Memtime Projects locally, you can now export your full project structure directly to the cloud product and access it from any device.

Before you start

Please make sure your Memtime user has Manager permissions in the Customer Portal.

The export option is only available if:

  1. Your user has the Manager role
  2. The data has not already been exported by you or another Manager in the same account
  3. You have not already set up Projects in Memtime Projects Cloud

If any of these conditions are not met, the "Export Data" button will not be visible because Memtime assumes you have already decided to use a new configuration for your projects.

How to export your data

Follow these steps:

  1. Open your Memtime app.

  2. Go to Menu → Connected Apps → Memtime Projects Local.

  3. Scroll down until you see the “Export Data” option.

  4. Click Export Data. Your projects, clients, and tasks will be automatically exported and made available in the cloud version.

Once the export is complete, you can access your full structure from any device via the cloud.


If you do not see the "Export Data" option

Please check whether your user has Manager permissions.

To update this:

  1. Open the Customer Portal: https://portal.memtime.com/login
  2. Go to User Management
  3. Find your user
  4. Enable Manager permissions
  5. Save the changes
  6. Restart Memtime once

After restarting the app, check again whether the "Export Data" option is visible.
