How to set up your iPhone integration

You can connect Memtime to iPhone and say goodbye to manually time-tracking your phone calls.

Before setting up the Memtime and iPhone integration, there are two requirements you need to keep in mind:

1. This feature is only available for Premium subscriptions
2. The connection process will only be configured on macOS computers

Step 1: Install iPhone as a Connected App

1. Launch the Memtime App and navigate to the menu icon. Select Connected Apps.

If you have an iPhone device and a Mac computer connected to the same iCloud account, you will not need to enter any credentials, as the process will be set up automatically.

4. Select iPhone from the Connected Apps menu to access its settings. Here, you can customize the settings to match your preferences.

Step 3: Make sure macOS Privacy & Security permissions are enabled

If, after connecting the iPhone integration, you see the Full Disk Access denied in the integration settings, you should enable it.

  1. Go to Connected Apps > macOS Calendar, and click Request Permission.
  2. This will again open System Preferences, taking you to a different section called Full Disk Access.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the window and click the + button to add Memtime.
  4. Locate Memtime in your Applications list and add it.

Step 4: Create Time Entries in Memtime from iPhone Calls

1. Go to the Time Tracking tab in Memtime. You will now see your iPhone calls displayed in the Calls column.

The system will differentiate the service from which the call was made, i.e. whether it is a phone call or a FaceTime call.

2. This integration lets you create time entries directly from your calls. Simply hover over a call and click the plus button to add a time entry.
