Outlook Pop-Up message since using Memtime

This article explains what you can do when you are getting an outlook pop-up message in relation to Memtime.

Memtime can sometimes cause the following Pop-Up to appear:

Why Does This Pop-Up Appear?

Memtime sometimes triggers a pop-up in Outlook because it attempts to access your email information to enhance your captured activities in the Memory Aid. Specifically, Memtime tries to read:

  • Email subject lines

  • Email addresses

  • Contact information of recipients

This integration helps visualize your tracked activities more effectively. However, if Outlook does not detect a valid antivirus program installed on your system (as determined by their criteria), it will display a warning message as a precaution.

What Can You Do to Resolve It?

You can address this issue by taking one of the following actions:

  1. Turn Off the Warning Messages: You can disable the warning messages directly in Outlook settings. However, proceed with caution, as this may reduce security alerts.

  2. Install a Valid Antivirus Program: Ensure you have antivirus software installed that Outlook recognizes as valid. This typically resolves the issue and prevents the pop-up from appearing.

By following these steps, you can prevent the pop-up and ensure seamless use of Memtime with Outlook.
