How To Allow Installing Beta Releases?

You can get early access to beta versions of Memtime and Connected App updates, and test new features before everyone else to give feedback on the requests you’ve made.

Here’s how to allow beta releases:

This setting can only be activated by a Memtime admin, and it will apply to all users in your account, including non-admins.

1. Go to the Customer Portal

2. Open the App Configuration Section

  • Navigate to the App Configuration area.

3. Enable the Beta Option

  • Tick the box "Users are allowed to install public beta releases".

4. Restart the Memtime app once

To ensure the new setting is active not only in the Customer Portal but also in your Memtime app, the users should restart the Memtime app once.

This will ensure the new setting is displayed in Memtime and allow you to proceed with the next step.

5. Enable the Beta Option in Connected Apps

If you want access to beta features for Memtime integrations, you can also enable this in the settings for that exact Connected App.

What happens next?

If automatic updates are enabled like above, all users in the account will automatically receive public beta releases. This is especially helpful when working with our team to test new features and improvements to our integrations.

NOTE: To ensure all users receive beta releases for Connected Apps, each user must enable beta access in the settings of the specific Connected App. Otherwise, they will only receive beta releases for Memtime itself, not for its integrations.

We recommend that users restart the Memtime app once after an admin enables the option to install beta versions at the account level. This ensures the option is visible and can be selected.
